The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning people to stop using certain “Timeless Minis” miniature items made by Darice right away.

These small decorative items may contain high levels of lead in the paint, which can cause serious health problems.

What products are included?

The warning includes these miniature items:
  • Red wagons
  • Chairs
  • Watering cans
These products are part of the “Timeless Minis” line and are often used for crafts, decorations, or dollhouses.

Why is this dangerous?

The paint on these items may contain lead, which is toxic. Lead can cause serious health effects, especially in children.

Lead exposure can:

  • Damage the brain and nervous system
  • Slow growth and development
  • Cause learning and behavior problems
  • Lead to hearing and speech issues
Even small amounts of lead can be harmful.

What should you do?

If you have any of these items:

✔ Stop using them right away

Do not handle or display them, especially around children.

✔ Keep them away from children

Young children can accidentally swallow lead dust or paint chips.

✔ Follow CPSC guidance

When to talk to a doctor

Contact a healthcare provider if:
  • A child may have handled or mouthed these items
  • You are concerned about possible lead exposure
Your provider may recommend a simple blood test.
