Jefferson County Health Department updated their reports today to reflect four additional COVID-19 deaths. These updates bring the total of COVID-19 deaths in Jefferson County to 124.
Death reports can take 3-6 weeks to review at the State before reporting to local authorities. All four of the deaths reported were based in the community. The residents were:
· Male, 60’s
· Female, 60’s
· Male, 70’s
· Male, 80’s
“We are saddened to report additional COVID-19 deaths in our community, especially so close to the holidays,” states Jefferson County Health Department Director, Kelley Vollmar. “There are too many families within our county that are missing loved ones this holiday season due to COVID-19. I urge residents to consider the health of their family and friends and practice safe prevention measures.”
