Six Additional Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported in Jefferson County, Missouri

The Jefferson County Health Department has been notified of six new positive cases for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the county. The residents are four males; one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, one in their 40’s, and one in their 50’s, and two females, one in her 30’s and one in her 50’s. These cases are still under investigation. This brings the total of positive cases to 13 in Jefferson County.

Our Public Health Preparedness team has begun contact investigations and notifications regarding these cases. Those identified as coming into contact with the positive case will be notified individually. Community residents who show symptoms or have questions should call the Missouri State Hotline at 877-435-8411 or the Mercy Clinical Support Line at 314-251-0500.

Jefferson County Health Department continues to follow CDC guidelines to protect public health and limit the spread of infection.
